We were asked to create a Direct Mail piece to send to truck owners and managers, who had purchased a Freightliner truck five or more years ago. We had to highlight the new range of trucks. If they requested a quote they would receive some sort of gift. We came up with the idea that not only might it be time for truck owners to upgrade their truck, but also time to upgrade their grubby trucker shirts. By getting a quote for a new truck they would get a new Freightliner polo shirt. The direct mail piece was initially mailed to 200 truck owners with amazing response and contributing to 10 new truck sales. Due to the fantastic result, New Zealand Freightliner used the same creative concept except the creative was modified to suit the NZ region.
